RESOLUTION NO. 615
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
RELATING TO ACQUISITION AND OPERATION OF FOSTER
GOLF COURSE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A SALES AGREEMENT FOR ITS PURCHASE, TO ALLOW
FOSTER MARSHALL TO PROCEED WITH THE MARKETING OF
ALL BONDS, TO RECRUIT A P.G.A. PROFESSIONAL, AND
TO ADVERTISE FOR A GREENSKEEPING CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, resolution, or substantial resolution, of terms of
purchase have been agreed upon between the Golf Course owners and the
City, and;
WHEREAS, certain functions must be completed in a timely
manner in order for the City to proceed with acquisition and operation
of the golf course, and;
WHEREAS, the Mayor is the official signatory for contracts of
agreements on the part of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute an agreement
for the purchase of the golf course under terns and conditions
substantially the same as those set forth in letter dated
January 20, 1978, from Larry Hard to the Aliments.
Section 2. The Mayor shall authorize Foster and Marshall to
proceed with all necessary marketing of bonds to implement
the terms of the purchase contract.
Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to recruit a P.G.A.
professional. The choice of the Mayor shall be confirmed
by the City Council.
Section 4. The Mayor is authorized to advertise for a greens
keeping contract. The Mayor shall recommend to the Council a
greenskeeping firm and provide necessary back -up data to the
City Council.
Section 5. The terms and contents of the contracts for the
P.G.A. professional and greenskeeping firm shall be reviewed
and approved by the City Council prior to execution.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
