HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0484 - Comprehensive Land Use Plan (Repealed by Ord 1039) 9497 0111.4 ORD g 9 E1 ,ELF r `r CITY OF TUKWILA WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 484 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA AN ORDINANCE establishing a comprehensive land use plan for the City of Tukwila; adopting a map dividing the'City into various land use classification districts; and providing in general for an orderly growth and development of the City of Tukwila. WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila Planning Commission was createdC by Ordinance No. 242, pursuant to authority conferred by Chapter t 44 of the laws of 1935; and `O \ek \t WHEREAS, The Tukwila Planning Commission, after appropriate survey, investigation and study, has prepared a Comprehensive Plan for the physical development of the community and, after holding public hearings thereon, has recommenced ,t w adoption of such Comprehensive Plan; and 0nt8 In WHEREAS, the City Council having studied said plan and.recom- mendation, and having held further public hearings thereon, and having determined that such plan as modified will provide for the generally advantageous development of the City, 9 Y g p y, and is designed, among other things, to encouragOcthe most appropriate use of the land throughout the community; to lessen traffic congestion; to secure safety from fire; to provide adequate light and air; to prevent overcrowding of land; to avoid undue concentration of population; to promote a coordinated development of unbuilt areas; to encourage the formation of neighborhood and community units; to secure appropriate allotment of land area in new developments Oue P3£ for all the requirements of community life; to conserve and restore natural beauty and other natural resources; to facilitate the adequate provision of transportation, water, sewerage, and other public uses and requirements, does concur with the recommendation of the Tukwila Planning Commission, as modified, and in order to implement said plan into effect in the City of Tukwila, NOW, THEREFORE, M u THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DOES ORDAIN: O� fill \1at& That the Comprehensive Land Use Map on file in the office of the City Clerk, a certified.-.dopy of which shall be filed with the County Auditor as required by RCW 35.63.100; dated the day of //t i 3 .,P y 1967, shall constitute the land use element of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Tukwila. $hie-pnmm in PASSED by the City Council this 15th day of May, 1967 on file Valllt.
