RESOLUTION NO. 650 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
IMPROVE A PART OF THE CITY BY IMPROVING PORTIONS
OF 62ND AVENUE SOUTH AND SOUTH 153RD STREET BY
ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY,
GRADING, WIDENING AND PAVING THE STREET SURFACE,
INSTALLING SIDEWALKS, CURBS AND GUTTERS, INSTALLING
STORM DRAINAGE, STORM SEWERS AND SANITARY SEWERS,
WATER FACILITIES, UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND STREET
ILLUMINATION AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF CARRYING
OUT SUCH IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST THE PROPERTY SPECIALLY
BENEFITTED THEREBY AND NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO
DESIRE TO OBJECT TO THE PROJECT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT
THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO
BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 13, 1978.
BE IT RESOLVED by 'the City Council of the City of. Tukwila.
as follows:
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the Council of the
City of Tukwila, Washington, to order the improvement of portions
of 62nd Avenue South and South 153rd Street within the City of
Tukwila, Washington, by acquisition of additional public right-
of -way, grading, widening and paving the street surface, installing
sidewalks, curbs and gutters, installing storm drainage, storm
sewers and sanitary sewers, water facilities, underground utilities
and street illumination.
SECTION 2. The total cost and expense of the improvement
shall be borne by and be assessed against the property specially
benefitted by said improvement, to be included in a local improve-
ment district to be established embracing as near as may be all
property specially benefitted by such improvement.
SECTION 3. All persons who may desire to object to the
improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and
present such objections at a meeting to be held in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall, Tukwila, Washington, at 7:00 P.M.,
Pacific Standard Time, on November 13, 1978, which time and place
are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to the
proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for
determining the method of payment for that improvement.
SECTION 4. Jones Associates, Inc., consulting
engineers, are hereby authorized to proceed with the engineer-
ing work required to prepare the preliminary assessment roll
and to make mailings of notice of the public hearing at least
fifteen days before the public hearing date established herein
to the property owners; and are hereby directed to submit to
the City Council, on or prior to November 13, 1973, all data
and information required by law to be submitted.
