ORDINANCE NO. 481
REPEALED BY 579
AN ORDINANCE of the city of Tukwila, amending Sections 1, 2, and 4 of
Ordinance No. 356 and these sections shall be changed to read as follows:
Section 1: That a certain document, three copies of which are on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the city of Tukwila, being marked and
designated as "Uniform Building Code, Volume I, 1967 Edition, by the Inter-
national Conference of Building Officials," and that a certain document,
marked "Uniform Building Code, Volume II- Mechanical, 1967 Edition, by the
International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the Inter-
national Conference of Building Officials," be, and is hereby adopted as the
budding code of the City of Tukwila for regulating the erection, construction,
enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion,
occupancy, equipment, use, height, area, and maintenance of all buildings
and /or structures in the City of Tukwila.
Providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees, therefore;
providing penalties for violation of such code; declaring and establishing
fire zones; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties,
conditions and terms of such "Uniform Building Code, Volumes I and II (Mechan-
ical), 1967 Edition, by the International Conference of Building Officials,"
on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and
made a part hereof as though fully set forth in this ordinance.
Section 2: That Table 3 -A (Building permit fees) on Page 31 of the Uni-
form Building Code, Volume I, 1967 Edition, shall be and are hereby adopted
as the fee schedule for the City of Tukwila.
Section 3: That Section 4 of Ordinance 356 be changed to read as follows:
That the entire incorporated area of the City of Tukwila is hereby declared
and is hereby established as a fire district and said fire district shall be
known and designated as Fire Zone 1, 2, and 3, and each such zone shall include
such territory or portions of said city as illustrated, outlined as designated
on a certain map on file in the office of the City Clerk, being marked and
designated as "Fire Zones of the City of Tukwila." Which is hereby adopted
as the fire zoning map of the City of Tukwila, for the application of the regu-
lations included in the "Uniform Building Code, Volume I, 1967 Edition, by the
International Conference of Building Officials."
Section 4: That if any clause, sentence, section, provision or part of
this ordinance shall be adjudged to be unconstitutional or invalid for any
reason by any court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not impair
or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance which shall remain in full force
and effect therafter.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, signing and publication as required by law.
