A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL STATING, THE CITY'S 1979
PRIORITIES AS THEY RELATE TO HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOP
'4ENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS PURSUANT TO HOUSING A14D COf'1-
MUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, by Resolution #600 adopted September 6, 1977, the City of
Tukwila did adopt a 3 -year Community Development Plan for program years 1978
through 1980 for participation with the King County Consortium in applying for
funds pursuant to the Hous -ing and Community Development Act 1974, and;
WHEREAS, Resolution #600 further declares Tukwila to be a member of
the King County Housing Assistance Plan for purposes relative to the Housing
and Community Development,Act 1974, and;
WHEREAS, the King County Consortiun has estimated the Tukwila popula-
tion funds for program year 1978 to be approximate) $14,610.00, and;
WHEREAS, on August 24, 1978 the Tukwila Planning Commission did con-
duct a public hearing to solicit public participation in the identification and
prioritization of the 1979 program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUK-
WI LA AS FOLLOWIIS:
Section 1. The Tukwila 1979 Housing and Community Development Program
established pursuant to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 shall
be as follows:
1. Undergrounding Assistance 2,500.00
2. Interurban Avenue (Acquisition of land
or public access easements.) 12,110.00
TOTAL 1979 POPULATION MONEY $14,610.00
Section 2. The 1978 population funds as set forth in Tukwila Resolution
#604 are hereby allocated or reallocated as follows:
Unallocated 1978 pop money:
1. Interurban ;avenue (Acquisition of land
or public access easements.) 6,700.00
Real 1ocat d 1978 pop money:

From senior wood working to Interurban
Avenue (Acquisition of land or

TOTAL 1978 :!ALLOCATION OR REALLOC!',TION: 9,700.00
Section 3. The Tukwila City Council authorizes the Mayor to make appli-
cation for Block Grant Funds available under the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974 consistent with this Resolution.
Section 4. The Mavor's authorized to enter into such contracts as
necessary with King County Consortium in order to receive an authorization for
spending.
