RESOLUTION NO. 669
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN INTERTIE AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF KENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Kent has requested the City of Tukwila to
consider a water system intertie to provide supplemental water supply-for-
the City of Kent on South 188th Street, and
WHEREAS, a long term intertie between the two facilities would
be beneficial to both parties for emergency use,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor is hereby authorized'to negotiate and execute an
intertie agreement wi th, the ,C -i ty of Kent for a connection
to the Tukwila' system along South 188th Street, west of the
West Valley Highway,.
Said intertie agreement to include the f91lowing:
1. A reciprocal rate of not less than $.33 per 100 cubic
feet charge for water used.
2. Both the cost of installing the intertie and the
annual maintenance costs will be borne by the City
of Kent.
