RESOLUTION NO. 678 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA AUTHORIZING CONTINUED
PARTICIPATION BY THE CITY OF TUKWILA IN THE KING COUNTY
LAW AND JUSTICE PLANNING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila is a participant in the Interlocal
Agreement executed by King County and participating suburban cities, established
to promote law and justice planning, and
WHEREAS, the projects proposed for the City of Tukwila must be
integrated with the work of the State of Washington Law and Justice Planning
Office, and
WHEREAS, marked success has been realized in the community through
the establishment and conduct during 1978 of a Community Relations and Crime
Prevention Program under the Law and Justice Planning Program, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Tukwila to continue
such efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the projects of the City of Tukwila regarding
law and justice planning be forwarded to the appropriate State office to be
included with the State of Washington Law and Justice Planning Program.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of Tukwila any and all documents necessary to apply for
grant applications for State and Federal funding for the continuance of
community relations /crime prevention programs as outlined in the Tukwila
Comprehensive Law and Justice Planning Program.
