RESOLUTION NO. 694
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL STATING THE CITY'S INTENTION
TO USE UNALLOCATED HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the King County Consortium has determined the unallocated
population funds for the City of Tukwila for program year 1979 to be $5,407.00,
and;
WHEREAS, on 27 August 1979 the City Council did conduct a public
hearing to solicit public participation in the establishment of a Home Security
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA THAT THE UNALLOCATED BLOCK GRANT POPULATION FUNDS BE ALLOCATED AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The unallocated 1979 Community Development Block Grant
Population Funds shall be allocated to establish a Home Security Program to
provide smoke detectors, security locks, and solid core doors when needed in
the homes of eligible residents of the City of Tukwila.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Tukwila is authorized to enter
into such contracts as necessary with the King County Consortium in order to
receive an authorization for spending.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof, this day of 1979.
