A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE TIME FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR VACATION OF RIGHT OF WAY WITHIN THE
CITY OF TUKWILA DEDICATED FOR STREET PURPOSES,
GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS PAMELA DRIVE RUNNING
SOUTHERLY APPROXIMATELY 450 FEET FROM 57TH AVENUE
SOUTH, INCLUDING THE CUL DE SAC.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to vacate Pamela Drive, which runs southerly from
57th Avenue South for approximately 450 feet, including the cul de sac;
WHEREAS, RCW 35 79 010 requires setting a public hearing by resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A public hearing upon the vacation of Pamela Drive running southerly
approximately 450 feet from 57th Avenue South, including the cul de sac, shall be held
before the Tukwila City Council in the City Council Chambers at Tukwila City Hall,
6200 Southcenter Blvd., Tukwila, Washington, on September 17, 2001, which is not less
than twenty (20) or more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of this resolution,
at which time all persons interested in said right -of -way vacation are invited to appear
and be heard.
Section 2. The Public Works Department is directed to post written notice of
pendency of the public hearing in three public places in the City of Tukwila and in one
additional conspicuous place on the right -of -way sought to be vacated at least twenty
(20) days prior to the date set for hearing

Subject: Pamela Drive Street vacation
There are seven owners of property abutting Pamela Drive. According to King
County records, these owners are
1 Patricia Dyson
2 Roy and Margot Harris
3 Sarah Engle
4 Ted Behr
5 Lisa Sallia (Russo)
6 Roy and Harriet Tongue
7 City of Tukwila
Usually in street vacations where the City owns property abutting the street, the
City and its property are not included in any ownership calculations. Therefore,
there are six property owners along Pamela Drive who could object to this
vacation per RCW 35 79 020 A copy is enclosed
Today I received a letter signed by 100% of the owners (excluding the City),
stating they do not want this vacation to proceed Upon receipt of this letter, I
canceled all activity related to this vacation I enclosed a copy of the signed
letter from the owners.
