HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1724 - 1994 Budget Amendment - General FundCity of Tukwila Washington Ordinance No. / 7.Z/ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1681, TO PROVIDE FOR UNANTICIPATED EXPENDITURES IN THE GENERAL FUND; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City recognizes that Jail Services actual costs exceed the budgeted amount, Utility Services were understated in Park Maintenance, and the Code Enforcement Officer was moved from the Planning Division to the Mayor's Office; and WHEREAS, the City desires to make necessary budget transfers to accomodate these changes, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following program categories in the 1994 budget, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1681, are hereby amended to read as follows: General Fund - 000 Expenditures: 000 03 513 100 10 Salaries and Wages $ 45,000 000 03 513 100 20 Personnel Benefits .8,000 000 08 558 100 10 Salaries and Wages <45,000> 000 08 558 100 20 Personnel Benefits <8,000> Code Enforcement Officer position transfer 000 10 523 600 50 Intergov Svcs 100,000 000 15 576 800 40 Other Services & Charges. 5,000 000 20 291 800 00 Estimated Ending Balance <105,000> Increase in Jail costs & Utilities costs in Park Maintenance, and corresponding decrease in Ending Fund Balance Net Changes. $ 0 Section 2. Ordinance No. 1681 is hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated appropriations to reflect the foregoing changes in appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate the necessary changes in the 1994 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the changes to appropriations as set forth in this ordinance. 94BUDME1.DOC 12/2/94 Section 4. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance. Section 5. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. On 4 9 V the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance No. /7. amending the 1994 budget, adopted by Ordinance No. 1681, to make necessary budget transfers to accomodate unanticipated expenditures in the General Fund, providing for severability, and establishing an effective date. The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
