AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE WASHINGTON
MODEL TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (MTO) AS CONTAINED IN
THE WASHINGTON ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, CHAPTER 308-
330 WAC, TO REGULATE TRAFFIC IN THE CITY OF TUKWILA
AND REPEALING THAT PORTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 1370
CODIFIED AT TMC CHAPTER 9.12.
WHEREAS, the state legislature has provided that Ch. 46.90 RCW, which contained
the Washington MTO, will expire on July 1, 1994, and
WHEREAS, the provisions of the Washington MTO have been readopted in the
Washington Administrative Code in Ch. 308 -330 WAC, which will become effective on July
1, 1994, now, therefore,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Model Ordinance Adoption by Reference. Chapter 912.010 of the
Tukwila Municipal Code is hereby reenacted to read as follows:
The "Washington Model Traffic Ordinance," Ch. 308 -330 WAC, is hereby adopted by
reference as the traffic ordinance of the City of Tukwila as if set forth in full. Also
adopted by reference are Sections 4, 5, 6, 7,10,11,12 and 23 of Chapter 275, Laws of
1994 and RCW 46.20 730 as amended by Section 23 of Chapter 275, Laws of 1994.
The City Clerk shall authenticate, and file with this ordinance, true copies of the adopted
WAC sections, pursuant to RCW 35A.12.140
Section 2. Sections Not Adopted. The following sections of the MTO are not
adopted by reference and are expressly deleted.
WAC 308- 330 -250 Police Department to administer bicycle licenses.
WAC 308 330 -255 Police Department to regulate parking meters.
WAC 308 330 -275 Traffic Safety Commission- powers and duties.
WAC 308 330 -500 Bicycle license required.
WAC 308 330 -505 Bicycle license application.
WAC 308 330 -510 Issuance of bicycle license.
WAC 308 330 -515 Attachment of bicycle license plate or decal.
WAC 308 330 -520 Inspection of bicycles.
WAC 308 330 -525 Renewal of bicycle licenses.
WAC 308 -330 -530 Bicycle transfer of ownership
WAC 308 330 -535 Bicycle rental agencies.
WAC 308 330 -540 Bicycle dealers.
WAC 308 330 -560 Bicycle penalties.

Section 3. Repeal. Those portions of Ordinance No. 1370 codified at Tukwila
Municipal Code Chapter 912 and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Savings Clause. The repeal of certain portions of Ordinance No. 1370 does
not affect any pending or existing litigation and does not operate as an abatement or bar to
any action or proceeding pending under or by virtue of the repealed ordinance sections.
Section 5. Severability Clause. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to
any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the
application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
Section 6. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect from and after July 1, 1994.

WASHINGTON ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, CHAPTER 308 -330
WAC, TO REGULATE TRAFFIC IN THE CITY OF TUKWILA
AND REPEALING THAT PORTION OF ORDINANCE NO 1370
CODIFIED AT TMC CHAPTER 912.
On Z /g0 9 5` the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance
No. 701 adopting by reference the Washington Model Traffic Ordinance as
readopted in Chapter 308.330 in the Washington Administrative Code, and Sections 4, 5, 6, 7,
10, 11,12 and 23 of Chapter 275, Laws of 1994 and RCW 46.20.730 as amended by Section 23
of Chapter 275, Laws of 1994, as the traffic ordinance of the City of Tukwila, providing for
severability and establishing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
