AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING
RESTRICTIONS ON THE DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1666.
WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Council is concerned with the health, safety and
welfare of its citizens,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREI3Y ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Limits on Fireworks Discharge. The discharge of fireworks within
the corporate limits of the City of Tukwila shall be limited to July 4th only between the
hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Section 2. Penalties. Any person who shall violate any portion of this
ordinance shall be subject: to having their fireworks confiscated.
Section 3. Severabilitv. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be
published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force
five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law.
