AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE
1994 EDITION OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
FOR ROAD, BRIDGE, AND MUNICIPAL
CONSTRUCTION AS THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1596.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila utilizes standard specifications for the
construction of public improvements, and
WHEREAS, the City has previously adopted standard specifications by Ordinance
No. 1596, and
WHEREAS, more current standard specifications are provided by the Washington
State Department of Transportation and American Public Works Association,
Washington Chapter, and as supplemented by the City of Tukwila General Conditions
and boilerplate construction contract documents,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal
Construction, prepared by the Washington State Department of Transportation and the
Washington State Chapter of the American Public Works Association, published in
1994, including the City of Tukwila General Conditions and boilerplate construction
contract documents, are hereby adopted as the Code of the City of Tukwila,
Washington, for regulating the construction and maintenance of public works,
including streets, bridges, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water distribution, structures
and other public works.
Section 2. Not less than three (3) copies of said Standard Specifications and City
of Tukwila supplements have been and shall hereafter remain on file for use in
examination by the public in the Public Works Department.
Section 3. Ordinance No. 1596 is hereby repealed.
Section 4. Severability If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be
published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force
five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE 1994 EDITION OF THE
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD, BRIDGE, AND
MUNICIPAL CONSTRUCTION AS THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 1596.
On 9 3 1-Y1 79 the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed
Ordinance No. /7D adopting standard specifications provided by the Washington
State Department of Transportation and American Public Works Association, Washington
Chapter, and supplemented by the City of Tukwila General Conditions and boilerplate
construction contract documents, for regulating the construction and maintenance of public
improvements; providing for severability; and establishing an effective date.

wntten request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
