HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1699 - 1994 Budget Amendment - Facilities Replacement Fund ire .'S, r+,\ r Q: i ,ft l +r N r City o T Washington Ordinance No. qv AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 1994 BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1681, TO PROVIDE FOR PROCEEDS OF LIMITED TAX GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, 1994 TO PAY A PART OF THE COST OF ACQUIRING AND CONSTRUCTING A COMMUNITY CENTER AND REPLACING FIRE STATION NO. 53; CREATING THE LIMITED TAX GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND FUND -201; INCREASING THE EXPENDITURES IN THE FACILITIES REPLACEMENT FUND -302; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City authorized the Community Center and Fire Station No. 53 projects to be funded in part from Limited Tax Obligation Bonds per Ordinance No. 1683, and WHEREAS, the City desires to issue such bonds during a period of lower interest rates; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following program categories in the 1994 budget, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1681, are hereby amended to read as follows: Facilities Replacement Fund 302 Revenues: 302 391 100 General Obligation Bonds Proceeds ......................x,875,000 Expenditures: Fire Station No. 53 Replacement 302 594 220 40 200,000 302 594 220 60 ......................1,000,000 Community Center 302 594 730 60 ......................4,675,000 Total Expenditures 5,875,000 Section 2. Ordinance No. 1681 is hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues and appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the foregoing increases in revenues and appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate the necessary changes in the 1994 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to revenues and appropriations as set forth in this ordinance. Section 4. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance. Section 5. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law.
