AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 1994
BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1681, TO
AUTHORIZE AN INTERFUND LOAN FROM THE SEWER
FUND NO. 402 REQUIRED TO FINANCE PRELIMINARY
ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE EAST
MARGINAL WAY /RYAN HILL NEW WATER SYSTEM
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WATER /SEWER
CONSTRUCTION FUND NO. 403 AND ESTABLISHING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is negotiating turnover of certain water services in the East
Marginal Way /Ryan Hill areas from the City of Seattle, and
WHEREAS, the City will provide the necessary infrastructure to provide such
services, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to initiate the preliminary engineering design
services and begin construction prior to such time as the East Marginal Way street
project is undertaken, and
WHEREAS, the City authorizes the Finance Director to make an interfund loan of
$400,000 from the Sewer Fund to the Water /Sewer Construction Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following program categories in the 1994 budget, as adopted by
Ordinance No. 1681, are hereby amended to read as follows:
Sewer Fund 402
Expenditures:
402 293 800 Estimated Ending Working Capital 400,000>
402 581 100 Loans Issued to Other Funds 400,000
NetTotal 0
Water/ Sewer Construction Fund 403
Revenues:
403 381 100 Loans Received 400,000
Expenditures:
403 01 501 341 40 East Marginal Way and Ryan Hill Improvements 400,000
Section 2. Ordinance No. 1681 is hereby amended by revising the summary of
totals of estimated revenues and appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the
foregoing increases in revenues and appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this
ordinance.
Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate
the necessary changes in the 1994 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate
line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to revenues and
appropriations as set forth in this ordinance.
Section 4. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any
other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after
passage and publication as provided by law.

On ,2 I 9 the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance
No. /l GS authorizing the Finance Director to make an interfund loan of $400,000 from
the Sewer Fund to the Water /Sewer Construction Fund to finance preliminary engineering
design and construction of infrastructure for East Marginal Way /Ryan Hill water system;
providing for severability and establishing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
