AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF TUKWILA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1992;
AMENDING THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE LAND
ACQUISITION, BUILDING DEVELOPMENT, AND
FACILITY REPLACEMENT FUNDS; AND CREATING
THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT IMPROVEMENTS FUND.
WHEREAS, the Preliminary Budget of the City of Tukwila for the year was timely
submitted to the City Council, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the proposed budget was advertised and held on
December 2, 1991, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the hearing, certain changes were made in the proposed budget,
and
WHEREAS, the Land Acquisition, Building and Development Fund was established by
Ordinance No. 654 in 1970, and its use and purpose needs to be more clearly defined and
retitled, and
WHEREAS, the Facility Replacement Fund was established by adoption of the 1989
Budget Ordinance No. 1493, and its use and purpose need to be more clearly defined, and
WHEREAS, the creation of a General Government Improvements Fund will provide a
method of budgeting for small miscellaneous capital improvements,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the budget on file with the City Clerk entitled "City of Tukwila Budget,
1992," is hereby adopted by reference as though fully set forth in accordance with RCW
35A. 33.075.
Section 2. The totals of the estimated revenues and appropriations for each separate
fund, and the aggregate totals are as follows:

Section 3. A complete copy of the final budget for 1992, as adopted, together with a copy
of this adopting ordinance shall be transmitted by the City Clerk to the Division of Municipal
Corporations of the Office of the State Auditor and to the Association of Washington Cities.
Section 4. The Land Acquisition, Building and Development Fund will be used for
capital projects for parks and open space. The fund title will now read: Land Acquisition,
Recreation, and Park Development. The primary revenue source for the open space will be the
quarter percent Real Estate Transfer Tax.
Section 5. The Facility Replacement Fund will be used for improvements, additions, or
relocation capital projects of $100,000 or greater. A fifteen year life or extension is a primary
criteria. Also, this fund includes reserves for future improvements.
Section 6. The establishment of the General Government Improvements Fund (303) will
provide for miscellaneous minor Capital improvements not provided elsewhere. Projects which
benefit multiple departments or functions will be given priority.
Section 7. This ordinance shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and
shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after the date of publication.
