Ordinance NO. 455
AN ORDINANCE granting Puget Sound Power Light
Company a one -year extension of its electric public util-
ity franchise within the boundaries of the City of Tukwila,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA:
WHEREAS, on May 10, 1916, the Town Council of the
Town of Tukwila by Ordinance No. 59 granted to Puget Sound
Traction, Light Power Company, a Massachusetts corpora-
tion, and to its successors and assigns, a non exclusive
electric public utility franchise for a term of fifty (50)
years, and
WHEREAS, Puget Sound Power Light Company, a Wash-
ington corporation, is the successor of Puget Sound Trac-
tion, Light Power Company, and the franchise granted by
Ordinance No. 59 expires on or about May 10, 1966, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to extend the term of the
electric public utility franchise heretofore granted by
Ordinance No 59 for a one-year period,
NOW, THEREFORE:
1. There is hereby granted to Puget Sound Power
Light Company "Grantee" herein) and to its successors
and assigns, for the term of one (1) year, commencing on
May 10, 1966, a franchise to use and occupy the streets,
avenues, alleys and public places of the City of Tukwila
for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, repairing and
operating an electrical transmission and distribution sys-
tem together with appurtenances thereto all in accordance
with the terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 59 except
as may be inconsistent with this ordinance or other ordin-
ances in effect on May 10, 1966.
2. A copy of said Ordinance No. 59 is attached
hereto and is incorporated by this reference as though
fully set forth herein.
3. In order to claim any right or benefit whatever
under this ordinance Grantee shall, within sixty (60) days
after the passage hereof, file with the City Clerk, its
written acceptance of this franchise.

corporation, the Grantee herein, by R. F. Plymire

accept the above granted franchise, and does agree to be
bound by the terms thereof.
