ORDINANCE NO. -579
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 1990
BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1552, TO
TRANSFER A PORTION OF ESTIMATED ENDING FUND
BALANCES AND WORKING CAPITAL FROM THE
GENERAL, STREET, FOSTER GOLF COURSE, AND
SURFACE WATER FUNDS; APPROPRIATE
UNANTICIPATED REVENUES FROM THE CASCADE
VIEW ANNEXATION FOR SALES TAX, PROPERTY TAX,
AND FIRE DISTRICT 11 TRANSFER; AND
APPROPRIATING EXPENDITURES FOR CASCADE VIEW
ANNEXATION SERVICES AND OTHER MID-YEAR
ADJUSTMENTS AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City desires to budget estimated revenues from the Cascade View
annexation area and transfer estimated ending fund balances, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to provide additional services for the Cascade View
annexation and previously annexed areas for the General Administration, Finance,
Recreation, Community Development, Police, and Public Works Engineering within the
General Fund; Street Fund labor; Surface Water labor; and Golf Course labor, and
WHEREAS, the City desires a level of service commensurate with its new boundaries
and population.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following program categories in the 1990 budget as adopted by
Ordinance No. 1552, passed by the City Council on December 18, 1989, are hereby
amended to read as follows:

Section 2. Ordinance No. 1552, passed by the City Council on December 18, 1989, is
hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues and
appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the foregoing increases in revenues and
appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate
the necessary changes in the 1990 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line
item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to revenues and
appropriations as set forth in this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage
and publication as provided by law.

On jf 7 he City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance No./?7
amending'the 1990' budget to transfer funds and appropriate unanticipated revenues and
appropriate expenditures for Cascade View Annexation services and other mid -year
adjustments; and establishing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
