ORDINANCE NO. 1-:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 8.07.010, AN ACT RELATING TO
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, provision should be made in the Tukwila Municipal Code for an ordinance
relating to the illegal use of controlled substances; and
WHEREAS, the Tukwila City Council desires to adopt an ordinance relating to the illegal use
of controlled substances; and
WHEREAS, an ordinance governing the illegal use of controlled substances is in the interest
of the public health, safety and welfare,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
The following statutes of the State of Washington, and all future amendments thereto, are
adopted by reference as set forth in full herein:
Section 2. Section 8.07.010 Revised. Section 8.07.010 of the Tukwila Municipal Code entitled
"Statutes adopted by reference" is hereby amended to add the adoption by reference and all
subsequent amendments thereto, of the following state statute:
RCW 69.50.425 Misdemeanor Violations Minimum Imx)risonment attached hereto
and incorporated by reference.
Section 3. Severabilitv. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in force and effect five days after publication
of this ordinance which is hereby approved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a regular

On 7990 the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed
Ordinance No governing the illegal use of controlled substances, providing
for penalties, an estab 'shing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
