ORDINANCE NO.
n C)C� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 5 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 1219 AND SECTION 20.04.060 OF THE
TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE TO AUTHORIZE CERTAIN
FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES BY CHARITABLE OR
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously, in 1981, passed Ordinance No. 1219,
Section 5 of which limited gambling activities by charitable or nonprofit organizations, and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to remove some of the restrictions on the
ability of such organizations to hold fundraising activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWH. A,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 20.04.060 of the Tukwila Municipal code shall be
amended to read in full as follows:
20.04.060 Fundraising events allowed Limitations. Any and all fundraising events
conducted or operated by bonafide charitable or nonprofit organizations as
authorized by the Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 9.46 as it now exists or is
hereafter amended, are allowed subject to the following limitations:
1. No organization shall be allowed to conduct more than two such events in the City
of Tukwila in any one calendar year, and
2. No more than four such events may take place at the same location in the City of
Tukwila in any one calendar year.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force five
(5) days after publication of the attached Summary which is hereby approved.

On o1 a D 1990, the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance
No.L5, providing for fundraising activities by charitable or nonprofit organizatioii-> subject
to certain limitations and providing for an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
