A4` I f kj(q AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASH- INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 14.16.030(4) OF THE TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE; AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1407, IV, SECTION I(4) RELATING TO CITY SEWER CHARGES BY CHANGING THE RATE FOR SEWER SERVICE AND LOWERING THE RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMER EQUIVALENT. WHEREAS, The Municipality Of Metropolitan Seattle (Metro) has a proposed amendment to the agreement for sewage disposal between Metro and each local agency Metro serves; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would change the Residential Customer Equivalency value (RCE) used to charge Tukwila from 900 cubic feet to 750 cubic feet for non residential customer use; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to lower the commercial and industrial sewer rate from nine dollars and fifty cents to eight dollars and no cents to offset the change in the residential equivalency value; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWII A, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 1407, IV, Section I(4) (TMC 14.16.030 (4), adopted the 17th day of November, 1986, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section I (TMC 14.16.030(4) Schedule of Charees. Rates and charges for sewage service furnished and available for use shall be paid by the owner of the property and shall be as follows: (4) Commercial and Industrial Sewage Service. Each account will be charged a flat rate of eight dollars and no cents ($8.00). In addition, the charge for sewage service on premises using more than seven hundred and fifty (750) cubic feet of water per month shall be at the rate of eight dollars and no cents ($8.00) per seven hundred and fifty (750) cubic feet. Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon execution of the amendment by all parties to the Agreement for Sewage Disposal with Metro. On 6 9 r the City Council of the City of Tukwila, p ssed Ordinance No. J_, which provides as follows: Amends Ordinance No. 1407, IV, Section I(4) to change the commercial and residential sewer service charges to a flat rate of $8.00 per account; in addition, the charge for sewage service on premises using more than 750 cubic feet of water per month shall be at the rate of $8.00 per 750 cubic feet.
