ORDINANCE NO. 997
AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH LONGEVITY BENEFITS
FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA.
WHEREAS, a policy adopted by City of Tukwila Ordinance
No. 657, Section 5, has been recognized and perpetuated from year
to year by City administration and the legislative body;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
In addition to salaries and other benefits paid to the
employees of the City of Tukwila, there shall be an additional sum
paid on the basis of longevity as follows:
After five years of continuous full -time
employment with the City, the eligible employee
shall receive an additional $5.00 per month
($60.00 per year). And for each additional
year of continuous full -time employment there
after, the eligible employee shall receive an
additional sum of $5.00 per month ($60.00 per
year).
Longevity benefits shall be limited to a
maximum amount of $50.00 per month ($600.00 per
year), effective January 1, 1977. All new
employees hired by the City after January 1,
1977, shall not be eligible for nor entitled
to longevity benefits under these provisions.
