Secti ©n(s) Amended Amended by Ord # Section(s)Repealed Repealed by Ord # 1 2497 CITY OF TUKWILA WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 1538 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1363, SECTION 1, AND TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 8.50.010 TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE RCW 9A.88.110, PERTAINING TO PATRONIZING A PROSTITUTE. WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 1363, the Tukwila City Council adopted by reference certain provisions of the RCW relating to prostitution, and WHEREAS, in 1988, the State Legislature added to the RCW Section 9A.88.110, making it a crime to patronize a prostitute, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is desirable for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Tukwila to adopt such provision, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 1363 and Tukwila Municipal Code 8.50.010, amended. That portion of section 1 of Ordinance No. 1363 providing for the adoption of Tukwila Municipal Code Section 8.50.010, and Tukwila Municipal Code Section 8.50.010 is hereby amended to read in full as follows: 8.50.010 Public Indecency - -Sex crimes. The following statutes of the state of Washington are adopted by reference. RCW 9A.44.120 Admissibility of child's statement - conditions RCW 9A.44.010 (1) sexual intercourse defined (2) sexual contact defined RCW 9A.88.030 Prostitution RCW 9A.88.050 Prostitution - No defense RCW 9A.88.090(1) Permitting prostitution RCW 9A.88.110 Patronizing a prostitute Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in force and effect five days after publication of the attached Summary which is hereby approved. On , 1989, the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinanc No. /5-38 , which adopts by reference RCW 9A.88.110 making it a crime to patronize a prostitute and provides for an effective date. The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
