HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1524 - 1989 Budget Amendment V 1906 CITY OF TUKWILA WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. �S° AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 1989 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1493, TO ADD UNANTICIPATED CONTRIBUTIONS FROM KING COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 11, UNANTICIPATED REV- ENUES FROM DEVELOPERS, AND A BUDGET TRANSFER AND INCREASED EXPENDITURES IN THE ARTERIAL STREET, FIRE EQUIPMENT CUMULATIVE RESERVE, LAND ACQUISITION, BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT, AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL FUNDS; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Foster /Riverton /Thorndyke area was annexed to the City of Tukwila effective April 15, 1989, and WHEREAS, certain assets of Fire District No. 11 are being transferred to the City under the requirements of RCW 35.02.190, and WHEREAS, the City hereby accepts the cash and other contributed capital at fair market value per King County Fire Protection District No. 1 Resolution No. 286, and WHEREAS, the City desires to make capital improvements to Fire Station No. 54, and WHEREAS, a developers agreement will provide design and construction cost reimbursement for the Strander Boulevard /Southcenter access signal project ori- ginally scheduled in the Planning Model for 1992, and WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the Strander /Southcenter access signal project per agreement during the current budget year, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 1493, passed by the City Council on December 19, 1988, is hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues and appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the foregoing increases in rev- enues and appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectu- ate the necessary changes to the 1989 budget and to make all necessary and appropri- ate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to revenues and appropriations as set forth in this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the offi- cial newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law. Van Dusen, Mayor ATTEST AUTHENTICATED: G� cam f M 'ne Anderson, City Clerk Ordinance Page 2 67,220 181,745 225.237 $474,202 FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 11, KING COUNTY RESOLUTION NO. 286 A RESOLUTION of the Board of Commissioners of King County Fire Protection District No. 11, King County, Washington, providing for the releasing of assets to the City of Tukwila WHEREAS, King County Fire Protection District No. 18 merged into King County Fire District No. 11, and, WHEREAS, on March 14, 1989 by vote of the people a portion of the former King County Fire Protection District No. 18 citizens requested for annexation to the City of Tukwila, Washington, and, WHEREAS, on April 6, 1989 by Ordinances No.1508, 1509 and 1510 the City of Tukwila did accept into their boundaries this requested annexation area, and WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 35.02.200, which states in part; and, The District shall pay to the City or town within one year or within such period of time as the District continues to collect taxes in such incorporated or annexed area, in cash, properties or contracts for fire protection service, a percentage of the value of said assets equal to the percentage of the value of the real property in the entire district lying within the area so incorporated or annexed...." WHEREAS, it has been determined that the assets of King County Fire Protec- tion District No. 11 are $4,100,845.00 and the entitlement of the City of Tukwila is 496,202.00 based upon the percentile of .121, and, WHEREAS, by agreement the assets equal to the percentage of assets so annexed have been agreed upon by both parties, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that King County Fire Protection District No. 11 releases to the City of Tukwila the following assets: (1) "Fire Station located at 4237 So. 144th "AS IS" described as; Lots 20 and 21, block one (1), Sterling, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume 14 of plats, page 99, records of King County including all plans for the remodel of said station 248,965.00 (2) 1986 Darley Engine, Motor I.D. On�444 /7 the City Council of the City of Tukwila, passed Ordina No.-fig-2z/ which provides as follows: Amends Ordinance No. 1493 to add unanticipated contributions from King County Fire District No. 11; increases expenditures for completion of Strander /Southcenter Signal Access Project; Remodel of Station 54; and establishes an effective date. The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
