HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1522 - 1989 Budget Amendment ILA 1906 CITY OF TUKWILA WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. �Sa2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 1989 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1493, TO TRANSFER A PORTION OF ESTIMATED ENDING FUND BALANCE FROM THE STREET FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND PROVIDING ADDITIONAL FIREFIGHTERS; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City desires to provide and maintain excellent fire protection for all citizens, and WHEREAS, additional staffing (eight firefighters and one lieutenant) and other resources will be required, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following program categories in the 1989 budget, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1493, passed by the City Council on December 19, 1988, are hereby amended to read as follows: STREET FUND Expenditures: Operating Transfer Out 103 03 597 220 $183,500 Estimated Ending Fund Balance 103 05 291 800 (183.500) Total Expenditures 0 GENERAL FUND Revenues: Operating Transfers In 000 397 220 $183,500 Expenditures: Nine new positions salaries 000 11 522 200 10 $122,800 Nine new positions benefits 00011522 200 20 30,700 Operating Supplies 00011522 200 30 10,000 Utilities 00011522 500 40 15,000 Computer Station #54 00011594 222 64 5,000 Total Expenditures $183,500 Section 2. Ordinance No. 1493, passed by the City Council on December 19, 1988, is hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues and appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the foregoing increases in revenues and appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate the necessary changes to the 1989 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to revenues and appropriations as set forth in this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law. On 7 1989, the City Council of the City of Tukwila, p ssed Ordinance No. /5 which amends the 1989 budget adopted by Ordinance No. 1493, and transfers a portion of estimated ending fund balance from Street Fund to General Fund, providing additional firefighters and establishes an effective date. The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
