ORDINANCE NO. 0 F
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 1989 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 1493, TO ADD UNANTICIPATED CONTRIBUTIONS FROM
KING COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1 AND INCREASE THE
EXPENDITURES IN THE FIRE EQUIPMENT CUMULATIVE
RESERVE, EQUIPMENT RENTAL, AND FIREMEN'S PENSION
FUNDS; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Fire District No. 1 was annexed to the City of Tukwila effective
March 31, 1989, and
WHEREAS, the assets of Fire District No. 1 are being transferred to the City
under the requirements of RCW 35.02.190, and
WHEREAS, the Fire District No. 1 Pension Fund is being transferred to the City
pursuant to RCW 41.16.41.18 and 41.26, and
WHEREAS, the City hereby accepts the cash and other contributed capital at fair
market value per King County Fire Protection District No. 1 Resolution No. 167,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following program categories in the 1989 budget, as adopted by
Ordinance No. 1493, passed by the City Council on December 19, 1988, are hereby
amended to read as follows:

Section 2. Ordinance No. 1493, passed by the City Council on December 19,
1988, is hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues
and appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the foregoing increases in
revenues and appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to
effectuate the necessary changes to the 1989 budget and to make all necessary and
appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to
revenues and appropriations as set forth in this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after
passage and publication as provided by law.

KING COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 1
Resolution Transferring Assets

WHEREAS King County Fire Protection District No. 1 and The City of Tukwila are
municipal corporations of the State of Washington.
WHEREAS, on February 7, 1989, the voters of District 1 approved the annexation of
an area of the District containing approximately 97% of the assessed value of the
District into the City; and
WHEREAS, District 1 currently owns assets consisting of real property, personal
property, fund accounts and receivables; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.02.190 requires the transfer of assets by the Fire District to the
City in the event of the annexation by a city of territory located within a fire
protection district that contains more than 60% of the assessed valuation of the
fire protection district;
NOW THEREFORE, in order to comply with the cited statutes it is hereby RESOLVED
by the Board of Commissioners of King County Fire Protection District No.1 as
follows:
1. King County Fire Protection District No. 1 hereby transfers the title and
possession of all of its tangible personal property and interests in real property to
the City of Tukwila;
2. District 1 hereby transfers to the City of Tukwila the District Firemen's
Pension Fund subject to the claims of all District fire fighter employees who
accrued benefits to be paid out of such fund pursuant to chapters 41.16, 41.18 and
41.26 RCW on the condition that the City retain, maintain and manage such
fund in accordance with the applicable provisions contained in such statutes.
3. District 1 requests and directs the King County Comptroller to transfer
such fund on the books of the County;
4. The Board of Commissioners authorizes and directs the Chairman of the
Board and the Secretary of the District to sign and deliver all documents
necessary to complete the transfer of the assets including certificates of title to
vehicles, quit claim deeds for all parcels of real property and any other necessary
documents.
5. The Board of Commissioners authorizes the issuance of a warrant to the
City of Tukwila in the amount of $_86.. b'/ Sa representing the
balance of the District's expense fund less the sum of $30,150.00 which the District
shall retain to meet its current obligations and to represent the retention of
approximately three percent (3 of the value of the District's assets.
6. The Board of Commissioners ratifies and approves the attached
Agreement For Fire and Emergency Medical Services between the District and
the City.
ADOPTED by the Board of Commissioners of King County Fire Protection District
No. 1 at a special open public meeting of such Board on the 29th day of March,
1989, called and held in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, the

EQUIPMENT RENTAL, AND FIREMEN'S PENSION FUNDS; AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
On /9(57, the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
passed Ordinance No. )<A which provides as follows: Amends Ordinance
No. 1493 to add unanticipated contributions from King County Fire District #1
and increases the expenditures in the Fire Equipment Cumulative Reserve,
Equipment Rental, and Firemen's Pensions Funds, and establishes an effective
date.
