ORDINANCE NO. /4
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 1988 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 1451, TO APPROPRIATE UNANTICIPATED SALES TAX
REVENUES, PROVIDE FOR RETRO PAY INCREASES, CITY
ATTORNEY SPECIAL MATTERS, FORT DENT RENTAL, AND
JAIL COSTS; CHANGING TITLE OF CURRENT FUND TO
GENERAL FUND; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1988 budget, the sales tax
revenues were underestimated, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to provide for retro pay increases for employ-
ees, provide for City Attorney special matters, Fort Dent rental, and unanticipat-
ed jail costs, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to change the title of the Current Fund 000 to
the General Fund 000 for accounting control purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLOWS:
Section 1. The following program categories in the 1988 budget, as adopted
by Ordinance No. 1451, passed by the City Council on December 21, 1987, are
hereby amended to read as follows:
GENERAL FUND 000

Section 2. Ordinance No. 1451, passed by the City Council on December 21,
1987 is hereby amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues
and appropriations and the aggregate total to reflect the foregoing increases in
revenues and appropriations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. The Current Fund 000 is hereby changed to the General Fund
000, to better accommodate the accounting reporting system.
Section 4. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to
effectuate the necessary changes to the 1988 budget and to make all necessary and
appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to
revenues and appropriations as set forth in this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after
passage and publication as provided by law.
