ORDINANCE NO. l 744
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 5.50 OF THE TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF PAWN BROKERS AND SECOND-
HAND DEALERS.
WHEREAS the Tukwila City Council desires to amend
Section 5.50 Pawn Brokers and Second -Hand Dealers of the
Tukwila Municipal Code to fully reflect the state of Washington
statues governing the operation of pawn brokers and second-
hand dealers,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.50 of the Tukwila Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
5.50 Pawn Brokers and Second -Hand Dealers. The following
statues of the state of Washington are adopted by reference:
RCW 19.60.010 Definitions.
RCW 19.60.014 Fixed place of business required.
RCW 19.60.020 Duty to record information.
RCW 19.60.040 Report to chief law enforcement officer.
RCW 19.60.045 Duties upon notification that property
is reported stolen.
RCW 19.60.050 Retention of property by pawnbrokers
inspection.
RCW 19.60.055 Rention of property by second -hand
dealers inspection.
RCW 19.60.060 Rates of interest and other fees Sale
of pledged property.
RCW 19.60.061 Pawnbrokers Sale of pledged property
limited Written document required
for transactions.
RCW 19.60.062 Attorney fees and costs in action to
recover possession.
RCW 19.60.066 Prohitibed acts Penalty.
RCW 19.60.075 Regulation by political subdivisions.
RCW 19.60.085 Exemptions
RCW 19.60.900 Severability.
Section 2. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional
by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force five (5) days after publication of the attached
summary which is hereby approved.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 5.50 OF THE TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF PAWN BROKERS AND SECOND-
HAND DEALERS.
On 9 1988, the City Council of
the City of ukwila passed Ordinance No. /51`7,6 which provides
as follows: amends section 5.50 to the Tukwila Municipal
Code entitled "Pawn Brokers and Second -Hand Dealers contains
a severability provision; and establishes an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without
charge to anyone who submits a written request to the City
Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL at their meeting of
1988.
