AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1448 TO PROVIDE
THAT THE MCMICKEN HEIGHTS AREA SHALL NOT BE TAXED
FOR REPAYMENT OF THE GOLF COURSE BONDS.
WHEREAS, the area commonly known as McMicken Heights voted
to annex to the City of Tukwila in November, 1984 but voted not
to accept the then existing indebtedness of the City, which
consisted of a tax levy for golf course bonds, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Tax Levy Amended. Section 1 of Ordinance No.
1448 of the City of Tukwila, passed by the City Council on
November 16, 1987, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1.
A. There shall be and hereby is levied on all
real, personal, and utility property in the City of
Tukwila, in King County, whose estimated assessed
valuation is $884,624,025.00, current taxes in the
form of the regular tax levy for the ensuing year
commencing January 1, 1988 in the amount of
$2,650,652.00 and at the rate of 2.996.
B. There shall be and hereby is levied on all
real, personal, and utility property in the City of
Tukwila, in King County, with the exception of that
property commonly known as McMicken Heights, and
more particularly described on Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as
if set forth in full, current taxes in the form of
the special tax levy for payment of the golf course
bonds for the ensuing year commencing January 1,
1988, in the amount of $145,000.00 and at the rate
of .164.
C. The said taxes herein provided for are
levied for the pupose of payment upon the general
bonded indebtedness of the City of Tukwila, the
General Fund, and the maintenance of the
departments of the Municipal Government of the City
of Tukwila for the fiscal year beginning January 1,
1988.

Section 2. Certification. This ordinance shall be
certified to the proper county officials, as provided by law, and
taxes herein levied shall be collected and paid to the Finance
Director of the City of Tukwila at the time and in the manner
provided by the laws of the State of Washington for the
collection of taxes for noncharter code cities.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be
published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take
effect and be in full force five (5) days after the date of
publication.

EXHIBIT A
That certain property situated in the County of King, State of Washington,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Tukwila City Limits and the south right
of -way margin of State Highway 518; thence westerly along said south right -of-
way margin of State Highway 518 to the east right -of -way margin of 42nd Ave.
South; thence south along said east right -of -way margin of 42nd Ave. South to
the south right -of -way margin of South 164th Street; thence east along said
south right -of -way margin of South 164th Street to the Tukwila City Limits;
thence northerly along said Tukwila City Limits to the south right -of -way
margin of State Highway 518 and to the beginning.
