AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING TMC SECTION
8.20.010 RELATING TO FRAUDS AND SWINDLES;
REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 1363 (PART) AND 1677,
SECTION 9, AS CODIFIED AT TMC 8.20.010; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, legislative amendments have made it desirable to amend and update TMC
Section 8.20.010;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Frauds and Swindles. Tukwila Municipal Code Section 8.20.010 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
The following statutes of the State of Washington are adopted by reference, as presently
constituted or hereinafter amended:
RCW 9.26A.110 Fraud in obtaining telecommunications service Penalty.
RCW 9.26A.120 Fraud in operating coin -box telephone or other receptacle.
RCW 9.26A.130 Penalty for manufacture or sale of slugs to be used for coin.
RCW 9.45.060 Encumbered, leased, or rented personal property Construction.
RCW 9.45.070 Mock auctions.
RCW 9.45.080 Fraudulent removal of property.
RCW 9.45.090 Knowingly receiving fraudulent conveyance.
RCW 9.45.100 Fraud in assignment for benefit of creditors.
RCW 9A.56.096 Theft of rental, leased, or lease purchased property.
RCW 9A.60.040 Criminal impersonation.
RCW 9A.60.050 False certification.
Section 2. Repealer. Ordinance Nos. 1363 (part) and 1677 §9, as codified at TMC
8.20.010, are hereby repealed.
Section 3.. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or its application to any person or situation should be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of
this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation.

Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the
official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force and effect five (5) days
after passage and publication as provided by law.

ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Ordinance No. /707/ adopting by reference State of Washington statutes relating
to frauds and swindles; providing for severability; and establishing an effective date.
