In reviewing the above mentioned' project plans, please note
the following items:.
1. Per Section 3305(1) of the UBC, "Where there
is enclosed usable space under stairs the
walls and soffits of the enclosed space shall
be protected on the enclosed side as required .
for one -hour fire— resistive construction....."
Also., I don't believe the second exit stairs
may exit through the shop area.
2.; Per UPC Sec. 10.104(b) , "All doors in or lead -
ing to exits shall be maintained openable from .
the inside without the use of a key or any
special knowledge or effort at all times when
the building or area served thereby is occupied'
