Please rule on the legality of Stair #2 exit- ing into the work area. I feel that the intent of the Code requires this stair to exit either into the office area or directly to the outside. 2. Per Section 3305(1) of the UBC, "Where there is enclosed usable space under stairs, the walls and soffits of the enclosed space shall be protected on the enclosed side as required for one -hour fire- resistive construction ft 3. A second exit (rear of building) is required. All modifications to sprinkler systems shall have the written approval of the Washington Survey & Rating Bureau, then of the Tukwila Fire Department. No work shall commence without the approved draw- ings. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730. 6. Printing supplies (flammable inks, solvents, thinners, etc.) storage shall conform to the following: (a) Flammable or combustible liquids in excess of ten gallons total, must be stored in metal storage cabinets. No more than 50 gallons may be stored in any one cabinet and no container shall be larger than 5 gallons. Cabinets shall be identified with 3 inch high red letters stating, "FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS - NO SMOKING ". (b) Flammable and combustible liquids in excess of 240 gallons, total shall be stored in a flammable liquid storage room designed and constructed per Section 15.404 of the U.F.C.
