Per Section 10.106(e) of the Uniform Fire Code, no storage shall be permitted under exit stairs unless the enclosed side is protected by one - hour fire resistive construction. (Applies to two stairways from the mezzanine). Please check on the requirement for . exits from thespray- painting and drying areas. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730. Fire extinguisher type, quantity and placement shall be per NFPA #10. Although not required by law, it is strongly recommended that this facility be provided with. automatic sprinkler protection. . Have the owner provide a plot -plan of the area showing distances to existing fire hydrants. An additional hydrant may be required. • Protective guard posts or curbs are required around all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler valves and hydrants.
