Dear Barney:
n reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note
the following items:
1. All sprinkler drawings shall be prepared by
reputable companies licensed to perform this
type of work. Drawings shall first be approved .
by the Washington Survey & Rating Bureau, then
by the Tukwila Fire Department. No work shall
commence without approved drawings.
2. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730.
3.. ". A "Fire- Lane" constructed per City Ordinance #757
is required on the rail -side of this building.
4. All hollow metal columns which are capped or
encased top and bottom, are to be drilled with
relief holes equal to 15% of the diameter of
round columns, or 15% of the width of square columns.
Protective guard posts or curbs% are.required:around
all .gas meters, electrical vaults, ,sprinkler ,`valves.,
and hydrants.
:Flues (vents):for unite heaters must be approved:

We have received the proposed building X -2 for Cabot, Cabot and
Forbes and have reviewed it for compliance with chapters 23
through 29 of the Uniform Building Code. Here are our comments.
1. Provide adequate reinforcement of masonry if alternate one,
sheet A -2, is used.
Provide soils report mentioned.
3. Indicate minimum depth of footings.
4. Particular attention should be paid during inspection to
the plywood diaphragm boundary nailing. Details indicate
boundaries nailed with 10d at two inches, 2 -1/2 inches .
and four inches 0.C. spacing into a C6 x 13 channel.
We question the feasibility of this connection. We consider
it important that the connection be made adequately.
