In reviewing the above mentioned project plans, please note
the following items:
1. Since this building is located in Fire Zone 2,
a fire - resistive roof covering is required.
2. The mezzanine airs must be a osed on the

3. All doors, including exits shall be identified
per OSHA, Section 1910.37(q). Exit signs shall
have letters 6 inches high.
4. Per UFC Sec. 10.104(b), "All doors leading to
or in exits shall be maintained openable from
the inside without the use of a key or any
special knowledge or effort at all times when
the building or area served thereby is occupied ".
5. Hose stations are required per City Ordinance #730.
(copy. enclosed.).
Fire extinguisher type, quantity and placement
shall be per NFPA #10.
7. All hollow metal columns which are capped or encased
top and bottom, are to be drilled with relief holes
equal to 15% of the diameter of round columns, or
15% of the width of square columns.
8. Protective guard posts or curbs are required around
all gas meters, electrical vaults, sprinkler valves
and hydrants.
Please include these comments in your review of the above
mentioned project.

w that additional information will be required before approval
by the Public Works Department will be granted. Information
required is as follows:

U1 1. Sanitary sewer connection to existing must be shown, approval
from Metro must be obtained, clean -out locations must be
indicated and minimum slope is to be 2.00 %.
Q2. Storm sewer connections must be at structures only, type of
new C.B. must be shown and approval from owner of existing
storm system must be obtained before any connections will be
Nallowed.
f" 3. Water and sanitary sewer must have a minimum of 10' clearance

CC 4. Provisions must be made to collect surface run -off on the

of the available capacity.
Addition of the Bowers Machine Bldg. (this will add 5 %)
will bring the total use of the available capacity of an 8"
pipe to approximately 58 %.
