Ordinance No. 2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1677, §5, AS CODIFIED
AT TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE 8.03.030, RELATING TO CONSUMING
OR POSSESSING ALCOHOL IN PUBLIC PLACES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Section 8.03.030 to allow consumption of alcohol at the
Foster Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to monitor said consumption by allowing only consumption of alcohol
purchased through the licensed golf course concessionaire;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Liquor in Public Places. Ordinance No. 1677, as codified at TMC 8.03.030, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
8.03.030 Opening or consuming liquor or possessing an open container of liquor in a public
place.
No person shall open a package containing liquor, consume liquor or possess an open container of liquor in a
public place. Violation of this section is a misdemeanor, except as provided below:
1. As permitted by RCW Title 66;
2. Alcohol purchased from the Foster Golf Course licensed concessionaire and consumed on the golf
course premises.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance
or its application to any person or situation should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional for any reason by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the
remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force and effect five (5) days after passage and publication
as provided by law.

On 4 _5, q f 1 the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed
Ordinance Nd. S2 i amending Ordinance No. 1677, §5, as codified at
Tukwila Municipal Code 8.03.030, to allow consumption of alcohol purchased from the
Foster Golf Course licensed concessionaire and consumed on the golf course premises;
providing for severability and establishing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who
submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
