HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1860 - 1999 Budget J �v .11 L A ;..w9 Q:' :2 G Q :0 190s� ity kwila fT o u Washington Ordinance No. 1640 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1999; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the preliminary budget of the City of Tukwila for the year was timely submitted to the City Council; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed budget was advertised and held on November 23,1998; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the hearing, certain changes were made in the proposed budget; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the budget on file with the City Clerk entitled "City of Tukwila Budget, 1999," is hereby adopted by reference as though fully set forth in accordance with RCW 35A.33.075. Section 2. A complete copy of the final budget for 1999, as adopted, together with a copy of this adopting ordinance shall be transmitted by the City Clerk to the Division of Municipal Corporations of the Office of the State Auditor and to the Association of Washington Cities. Section 4. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or its application to any person or situation should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation. Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be published in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after the date of publication. On 7 /95i, the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed Ordinance No. riot) adopting the annual budget of the City of Tukwila for the fiscal year 1999; providing for severability and establishing an effective date. The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
