HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0970 - 1976 Employee Salary Schedule and Benefts Retroactive 8 a ce e vim CITY OF TUK WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 970 Co AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND GRANTING WAGES AND BENEFITS RETROACTIVE TO JANUARY 1, 1976, TRANSFERRING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE POSITIONS OF PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, CITY CLERK, PLANNING DIRECTOR, CITY TREASURER, FIRE CHIEF, POLICE CHIEF, POLICE LIEUTENANT AND FIRE MARSHAL AND AMENDING BUDGET ORDINANCE NO. 957. WHEREAS, The salary and fringe benefits have been established by the City Council for the following positions: Public Works Director, Planning Director, City Clerk, City Treasurer, Fire Chief, Police Chief, Police Lieutenant and Fire Marshal and, WHEREAS, The City Council finds these wages and fringe benefits as set forth,to be reasonable, and, WHEREAS, A transfer of appropriated monies within the 1976 budget is necessary to enact this settlement retroactive to January 1, 1976, NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Each position is hereby granted the following fringe benefits: a. The City agrees to pay 75% medical coverage for employee dependents and shall reimburse to the employee monies previously paid through payroll deduction ret tive to January 1, 1976. b. The^agees to pay 100% of the life insurance premium based upon the current policy in effect and shall reimburse to the employee monies previously paid through payroll deduction retroactive to January 1, 1976. c. The City agrees to pay up to $100 per year for any optical expenses, including but not limited to, eye examination, prescriptions, new or replaced glasses or contact lenses beginning June 1, 1976. SECTION 3. All benefits presently in effect are extended. SECTION 4.
