AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE #1363 §I (PART) AS CODIFIED AT
'FMC 820.020, FALSE REPRESENTATIONS, TO INCLUDE THE GRIME OF
FALSE STATEMENT BY DEPOSIT ACCOUNT APPLICANT, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILTTY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE #1363 §1 (PART) AS CODIFIED AT
TMC 8.20.020, FALSE REPRESENTATIONS, TO INCLUDE THE CRIME OF
FALSE STATEMENT BY DEPOSIT ACCOUNT APPLICANT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance #1363 §1 (part) adopts by reference sections of the Revised Code of Washington
making false representations under certain circumstances a crime; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it advisable to amend Ordinance #1363 §1 (part) to include the crime
of False Statement by Deposit Account Applicant, RCW 9.38.015;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance #1363 §1 (part) and TMC 8.20.020, False Representations, are hereby amended to
read as follows:
The following statutes of the State of Washington are adopted by reference:
RCW 9.38.010 False representation concerning credit.
RCW 9.38.015 False statement by deposit account applicant.
RCW 9.38.020 False representation concerning title.
Section 2. Severability. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or
its application to any person or circumstance, be declared unconstitutional or otherwise invalid for any reason, or
should any portion of this ordinance be pre empted by state or federal law or regulation, such decision or pre-
emption shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to other persons
or circumstances.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after passage and publication as
provided by law.

Statement by Deposit Account Applicant; providing for severability and establishing an
effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who submits a
written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
