AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON AMENDING PORTIONS OF
ORDINANCE NO. 1930, AS CODIFIED AT CHAPTER 12.12 OF THE
TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE, REGARDING FOSTER GOLF
LINKS FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, green fees are the major source of revenue to operate and improve the golf course, and a
green fee increase was necessary to meet the revenue needs to operate, maintain and make capital
improvements at the golf course; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to keep green fees consistent with the Foster Golf Links Revised Six -Year
Master Plan 1999 -2004; and
WHEREAS, green fees are reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Director and the Parks Commission
and shall be reported to the City Council's Community Affairs and Parks Committee annually; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that the setting of the fee schedule be established and updated through the
adoption of a City Council resolution when necessary; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that the authority to make green fees adjustments and "Promotional" fees be
delegated to the Parks and Recreation Director, when the Director feels they will promote play and not
adversely affect revenue needed to operate and improve the golf course;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following portions of Ordinance No. 1930, as codified at Chapter 12.12 of the Tukwila
Municipal Code, are hereby amended as follows:
12.12. 010 is amended to read:
12.12.010 Fee Schedule.
A. Fees established. The green fees are established by resolution of the City Council.
B. Director's authority. The Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to adjust green fees and
promotional fees to encourage play and promote the golf course.
12.12.070 is amended to read:
The "Junior" fees shall be in effect for Residents and Non Residents on all weekdays and after 4:00 PM on
weekends; otherwise, the junior golfer shall pay regular rates.
12.12.080 is amended to read:
A "Promotional" fee may be authorized by the Parks and Recreation Director to encourage play and promote
the golf course.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance or its application to any person or situation should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional for any
reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation.

Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force and effect five (5) days after passage and
publication as provided by law.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AMENDING PORTIONS OF
ORDINANCE NO. 1930, AS CODIFIED AT CHAPTER 12.12 OF
THE TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE, REGARDING FOSTER
GOLF LINKS FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
On the City Council of the City of Tukwila passed
Ordinance No. 'L 1 amending the Tukwila Municipal Code to establish and
update the setting of the green fee schedule through the adoption of a City Council
resolution when necessary, and delegating authority to the Parks and Recreation
Director to make green fee adjustments and "promotional" fees; providing for
severability; and establishing an effective date.
The full text of this ordinance will be mailed without charge to anyone who
submits a written request to the City Clerk of the City of Tukwila for a copy of the text.
