ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO LEAVE UNATTENDED CHILDREN
IN MOTOR VEHICLES, AND ADDING A NEW SECTION TO T.M.C.,
CHAPTER 8.08.
PURPOSE: The City Council finds that leaving children unattended
in motor vehicles in public places can be detrimental to their health, safety
and W &tare.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Tukwila Municipal Code, Chapter 8.08 is hereby amended as follows:
NEW SECTION
It shall be unlawful for any person while in charge of a vehicle to
park or willfully allow such vehicle to stand upon a public highway or in a
public place leaving a child under the age of eight years unattended therein
where there is imminent danger to the child.
