Several ZDDPs have been reported to have weak mutagenic activity in cultured mammalian cells but only at concentrations that were toxic to the test cells. We do not believe that there is any mutagenic risk to workers exposed to ZDDPs. This.product contains butyl benzyl phthalate. In a cancer bioassay.. conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP), mice and rats were given butyl benzyl phthalate in their diets. All groups of male rats were terminated at six months due to excessive mortality. Female rats showed an increase in cancer but both sexes of mice did not. This study has been declared invalid and is being repeated by NTP. • This product contains petroleum base oils which may be refined by various processes including severe solvent extraction, severe hydrocracking, or severe hydrotreating. None of the oils requires a cancer warning under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200). IF SWALLOWED: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. IF VOMITING OCCURS SPONTANEOUSLY, KEEP VICTIM'S HEAD BELOW HIS HIPS TO PREVENT HIS BREATHING THE VOMITUS INTO HIS LUNGS. HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION PRIMARY ROUTES OF EXPOSURE: SKIN OR EYE CONTACT, INHALATION. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE INHALATION: VAPORS AND MISTS IRRITATE THE NOSE AND THROAT. IN- HALATION OF HIGHER CONCENTRATIONS MAY CAUSE HEADACHES, NAUSEA, VOMITING, AND COMA. INHALATION OF VERY HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OR PROLONGED EXPOSURE MAY CAUSE UNCONSCIOUSNESS. EYE CONTACT: VAPORS MAY IRRITATE THE EYES. LIQUID AND MISTS MAY SEVERELY IRRITATE OR DAMAGE THE EYES. SKIN CONTACT: BRIEF CONTACT MAY DRY THE SKIN. PROLONGED OR RE- PEATED CONTACT MAY IRRITATE THE SKIN, CAUSING DERMATITIS. THE GLYCOL ETHER EB COMPONENT IS READILY ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN. FREQUENT OR WIDESPREAD CONTACT MAY ABSORB HARMFUL AMOUNTS WHOSE SYMPTOMS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF SWALLOWING AND INHALATION. SWALLOWED: SWALLOWING THE LIQUID MAY RESULT IN VOMITING. IF VOMITING OCCURS SPONTANEOUSLY, DO NOT ALLOW VOMITUS TO BE BREATHED INTO THE LUNGS AS EVEN A SMALL QUANTITY IN THE LUNGS MAY RESULT IN CHEMICAL PNEUMONITIS AND PULMONARY EDEMA /HEMORRHAGE. SWALLOWING MAY ALSO CAUSE HEADACHE, DIZZINESS, NAUSEA, DIARRHEA, RED BLOOD CELL HEMOLYSIS, AND POSSIBLE LIVER, KIDNEY, AND LUNG INJURY. CHRONIC EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE: REPEATED EXPOSURE MAY CAUSE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DEPRESSION OR LIVER, KIDNEY, LUNG, OR RED BLOOD CELL DAMAGE. This is acceptable to us as the structural engineers. I also noted several cases where the pipe column base plates had one expansion bolt showing with the other bolt apparently broken or cut off and then weld puddeled into the hole in the base plate to the top of the bolt. This is also acceptable structurally. Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
