VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior 10 submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT It the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no pen is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). The proposed lunchroom will have it's own exit as shown on the plan and per General Note # 20. 2. Where feasible, new doors and hardware will comply with barrier free and accessibility codes at all new construction. Accessibility and usability to other areas will not reduced per WAC 51 -20- 3112. See also General Note #4. 3. New wall details are included on sheet TI -1. 4. A Reflected Ceiling Plan with Seismic Bracing details is included on sheet TI -I. 5. A lighting budget form is enclosed, however the wattage will not be changed as all fixtures to be used are existing. 6. See General Note #28. 4 7. All new glazing will be insulated glazing in thermally broken aluminum frames and will comply with WSEC Chap. 13. 8. R -19 insulation will be installed at the new office: the only new "exterior" wall. 9. Spaces will not be altered in a significant way, all existing ventilation to the new Lunchroom will remain. Please submit additional scale plans, construction details, energy code information and address the following general comments. 1. Show all egress paths and exit doors relating to the new work. (Note; the proposed lunch room may require a separate exit directly to the outside, see U.B.C. Section 1003.5. 2. Doors, ramps, and general path of travel must provide accessible clearance and hardware for wheel chairs etcetera per U.B.C. Chapter 11 and WAC 51 -30 -1101. 3. Provide cross section details of new walls including lateral braces for walls over eight feet in length, U.B.C. Section 2326.11.3. 4. Provide reflective ceiling layouts for the replaced and new grid ceiling areas, including seismic bracing details conforming to U.B.C. Standard 25 -2 Part Ill. 5. Provide a lighting budget for the new ceiling areas conforming with Washington State Energy Code Chapter 15, (watts per square foot allowed and proposed, or other code options). 6. W.S.E.C. Section 1513 requires specific lighting controls to be snow on the plans.
