A minimum lap for all bars shall be 1' -6" or 30 bar diameters, whichever is more. REINFORCING STEEL PROTECTION USE Slab and wall bars - interior faces Slab and wall bars - exposed to weather and /or earth PROTECTION 3/4" 2" ( #6 and above) 1-1/2" ( #5 and smaller) Footing bars 3" 48. Provide corner steel bars to match horizontal reinforcement. Where a concrete wall end does not intersect another wall, hook horizontal bars 90' and provide a 6 bar diameter extension. At all walls lap vertical steel 42 bar diameters with footing dowels. Concrete walls shall be reinforced as shown on the plans and details and if not shown shall be #4 0 16" o.c. each way at the centerline of a 6" wall and #4 0 12" o.c. each way at the centerline of on 8" wall. w GENERAL NOTES The following notes apply except where shown otherwise.
