14.16.030; TO INCREASE SEWER CHARGES, AND
ORDINANCE 913, SECTION 2; AND TUKWILA MUNICIPAL
CODE 14,16.06S TO DECREASE CITY METRO RATE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 913, SECTION 1,
(1), (2), (4) AND TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE
14.16.030; TO INCREASE SEWER CHARGES, AND
ORDINANCE 913, SECTION 2; AND TUKWILA MUNICIPAL
CODE 14.16.065 TO DECREASE CITY METRO RATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS.
Section 1. That Ordinance 913, Section 1, (1), (2),
(4), and Tukwila Municipal Code 14.16.030 each be amended to
read as follows:
14.16.030 Schedule of Charges. Rates and charges
for sewage service furnished and available for use shall be paid
by the owner of the property and shall be as follows:
(1) Residential Sewage Service. A flat rate of
Fehr -Bel tars and- Fi €ty- Gents- ($4 ;50) Five Dollars and Twenty
Cents ($5.20) for each single family residence shall be charged.
(2) Multi le Dwelling. The rate of (Fehr Bellars
axe. Fifty Gents 7 Five 15-Mars and Twenty Cents .($5.2 0)
per month for the first dwelling unit and Pour Dollars and Seventy
Cents ($4.70) for each additional unit shall be charged.
(3) School Sewage Service. The rate of Twenty Cents
(20) per month for each school occupant shall be charged for the
nine school months. The rate for June, July and August shall
be the commercial /industrial sewage rate.
(4) Commercial and Industrial Sewage Service. A
flat rate of (Fehr- Bellars and- Fifty- Gents- {$4:58 'Five Dollars
and Twenty,Cents ($5.20) per 900 cubic feet or less of water
usage shall be charged. The rate for sewage service on premises
using more than 900 cubic feet of water per month shall be
(Twenty bents- {2A Twenty -Eight Cents (280 per additional
100 cubic feet.
(5) Summer Sewage Rate for Commercial and Industrial.
The cubic foot rate shall be based on the average water usage for
the premises during the months from October through March, unless
covered by an exempt meter.
(6) Penalty Charge. There shall be a penalty charge
of Fifty Cents (50¢) per month on sewer accounts more than thirty
days in arrears.
Section 2. That Ordinance 913, Section 2, and Tukwila
Municipal Code 14.16.065 each be amended to read as follows:
14.16.065 City -Metro Rate. The City -Metro charges
as provided tor in Section 14.16.060 and as required by the
Agreement for Sewage Disposal between the municipality of
metropolitan Seattle and the City of Tukwila is set at the sum
of (Fear- Dellars -aid- Twenty- Fire Gents- {$4:25)) Three Dollars
and Fifty -Five Cents ($3.55) per residential customer and per
residential customer equivalents.
