Please address the following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specification, and /or other documentation. 1. The proposed pressure treated 2X4 roof rafters are not sufficient to support the roof as designed. The process of making pressure treated lumber reduces the lumber strength. Because the 2X4 rafters will not be directly exposed to weather, other higher lumber grade and /or stronger wood species or non - treated lumber may be enough to support the roof loads as shown on the plans. Otherwise, a reduced rafter spacing may be used or larger dimension lumber such as 2X6 rafters. Revise the rafter design as required. 3. Provide manufactures specifications for the corrugated roof material showing a minimum 25 pounds per square foot snow load capacity. Some of these produces do not meet the 25 psf criteria. No further comments at this time.
