ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14.04.240 OF THE
TUKWILA MUNICIPAL CODE, INCREASING WATER
RATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN AS
Section 1. That Section 14.04.240 of the Tukwila
Municipal Code be amended to read as follows:
14.04.240 Rates For Metered Water. The rates for
metered water, supplied within the city, in one month or fract-
ional part thereof, shall be in accordance with the following
schedule:
Size of Service
3/4 inch 500 cubic feet or less 4.00
1 inch 500 cubic feet or less 7.00
1 1/2 inch 500 cubic feet or less 11.00
2 inch 500 cubic feet or less 15.00
3 inch 500 cubic feet or less 30.00
4 inch 500 cubic feet or less 40.00
6 inch 500 cubic feet or less 75.00
8 inch 500 cubic feet or less 115.00
For each 100 cubic feet in excess of the 500 cubic feet allowed
for the above minimum charges, the rate shall be thirty -three
cents per 100 cubic feet.
The rates due for water on the 3/4 inch meter or less
are to be subject to a discount of twenty -five cents if paid on
or before the tenth day of the month in which they are payable.
Section 2. That the rate changes set forth herein
shall be effective February 1, 1975.
Section 3. The City Council finds that an emergency
exists with regard to the passage of this ordinance and that it
shall be passed immediately and be published as required by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASH-
INGTON AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF THIS
