Several areas were found where the contractor did H i not have the required cover on reinforcement, both between bar and the exposed surface Z I of the finished concrete, and between the bar and the earth. All of these conditions were z 0 corrected prior to concrete placement. I made sure that all of the design conditions for g 0 the concrete and resteel were either met or exceeded. v co As I mentioned to you earlier, at the time of the concrete pour it was my understanding 0 from the contractor (SEFNCO Construction) that they had contacted the Building w ui Department, had discussed the City's inspection requirements, and were told that the size � : of the job did not warrant a special trip for inspection. I should have known better than to 0 accept this, but at the time I was still believing what I was being told by this firm.
