The conctractor is cautioned that overhead electrical lines are not shown on the drawing. The conctractor is responsible for determining the extent of any hazard created by overhead electrical power in all areas and shall follow procedures during construction as required by law and regulation. 7. Traffic control and street maintenance for safety of the traveling public on this project shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor and all equipment used will be subject to the approval of the City of Tukwila. Contracots and their surety shall be liable for injuries and damages to persons and property suffered because of contractors operations or negligence connected with them. 8. During construction, the contractor shall be required to control on -site storm water by using temporary or permanent drainage erosion /siltation control procedures. 9. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to determine the true elevations and locations of all underground utilities. 10.Existing pavement surfaces shall be saw cut full depth with straight, unifrom edges 12 inches (12 1 out from the edge of excavation. All joints between the new and original pavement shall be painted with asphalt emulsion(CSS -1) 11. Time limit restrictions within existing rights -of --way will be applicable and determined at the pre - construction meeting. 12. The contractor shall install, replace, or relocate all signs, as shown on the plans or as affected by construction, per City's Standard Detail No. RS -14 13, Power, cable and telephone lines shall be in a trench with a minimum horizontal separation from other utilites (sewer,water,storm) of five feet(5 ) unless otherwise approved by the City of Tukwila. 14. All construction surveying for extensions of public facilities shall be done under the direction of a Washington Licensed Land Surveyor or a Washington Licensed Professional Civil Engineer. 15. The contractor shall be required to water the site as neccessary, to reduce dust emissions as a result of construction acitivites. The contractor shall sweep all affected public roads, as necessary, to remove mud deposited as a result iof project contraction activity. 17. For manhole and rim adjustment, maximum adjustement with brick for rims and castings shall be 14 inches (141 without adding new sections. 18. All manholes, catch basins, and valves in public rights -of -way or easements shall be adjusted after asphalt paving, and conform to the City's standard adjustment details. All utility casting outside of paved areas shall be installed wiwth a concrete collar around them. 19. PVC manhole adapters or approved equal shall be used to make all connections of SDR 21 or 35 PVC to manholes or catch basins. 20. The maximum laying lengths shall not exceed 12--6 for SDR 21 or 35 pipe. 21. Bedding, backfill and construction procedures for all storm drain pipes shall be in accordance with the City of Tukwila Standard Detail No. DS -11 and DS -12. 22. Bedding, backfill and construction procedures for all sanitary sewer pipes shall be in accordance with the City of Tukwila Standard Detail No. SS -11 23. All imported pipe trench backfill material shall be bank run gravel, for trench backfill per WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 9- 03 -14. 24. Pipe trench backfill material within the improved right -of -way shall be 5/8 minus crushed rock when connection si perpendicular to the city street, as per City of Tukwila Standard Detail RS -3. 25. Construction of proposed improvements shall be in accordance with apprvoved plans. Before any ground disturbance occurs, all dwonstream erosion prevention and sediment control measures(ESC) must be constructed and in operation. Install and maintain all ESC mesures in according to the ESC plan. 4. ESC measures, including all perimeter controls, shall remain in place until final site construction is completed and permanent stabilization is established. 5. From May 1 through September 30, provide termporary and permanent cover measures to protect disturbed areas that will remain unworked for seven days or more. 6. From October 1 through april 30, provide tempoaray and permanent cover measures to protect disturbed areas that will remain unworked for two days or more. In addition to cover measures, the Contractor shall: .Protect stockpiles and steep cut and fill slopes if unworked for more than 12 hours. .Stockpile, on site, enough cover materials to cover all disturbed areas. 7. The standard strength filter fabric shall be stapled or wired to the fence, and 12 inches or the fabric shall be extended into the trench. Fileter fabric shall not be stapled to existing trees. F. When extra - strength filter fabric and closer post spacing are used, the wire mesh support fenc may be eliminated. In such a case, the filter farbric is stapled or wired directly to the posts with all other provisions of stasndard note E applying G. The trench shall be backfilled iwth native soil or 3/4" -1.5" washed rock H. Filter fabric fences shell be removed when they have served their useful purpose, but not before the upslope area has been permanently stabilized. I.
