-9 ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING A SHORELINES
MASTER PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF TUKWILA.
WHEREAS The City of Tukwila is required by the Shore-
lines Management Act of 1971, codified as RCW 90.58, to prepare
a Shorelines Management Program for the City of Tukwila, and
WHEREAS Pursuant to this requirement public hearings
were had by the Citizens' Advisory Committee on January 30, 1974;
and by the Tukwila Planning Commission on March 21, and April 3,
1974, and by the City Council on June 5, 1974, at which public
hearings a Shorelines Master Program for the City of Tukwila,
prepared by the Planning Department of the City of Tukwila and
consultants to the City, Jones and Jones, was considered, and
WHEREAS, On June 24, 1974, the Tukwila City Council
adopted Resolution No. 437, approving the Plan, and instructing
the City Planning Director to submit the same to the State of
Washington Department of Ecology for approval as required by law,
an d
WHEREAS, By letter dated September 26, 1974, the
Director of the State of Washington Department of Ecology has
formally approved the Plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That the Shorelines Master Program for the City of
Tukwila, prepared by the Tukwila Planning Department and
consultants, Jones and Jones, be and the same is hereby adopted
as the Shorelines Master Program for the City of Tukwila.
